Historical view

The mill building, next to which a small hydroelectric power plant is located, is an old, historic building. In the it was called Marek's Mill (Markowizna, later Słowik) was one of the many facilities using the extremely efficient Bobrza River. Apart from the buildings of the past centuries, there is also a hydrotechnical junction with a weir and a mill race. Currently, a fish pass has been added to the weir.

The cooperation with the client included a comprehensive implementation of the project that included: construction of a small hydropower plant powered by the current of the mill race and building a fish pass at the weir at km 14 + 220 of the Bobrza river in Zagrody village, Świętokrzyskie Province.

Scope of work

Execution of construction works as a general contractor

  • Construction of a small hydropower plant building
  • Construction of a trough for the foundation of the Archimedean screw
  • Construction of a slotted fish pass
  • Carrying out the strengthening of the riverbed upstream and downstream from the weir
  • Design, delivery and commissioning of a complete hydroset equipped with an Archimedes’ screw
  • Carrying out the works on electrical installation – control and automation systems of a power plant based on a PLC controller and equipped with HMI input panel
  • Delivery and start-up of an inverter system that enables the Archimedean screw to change its rotational speed smoothly
  • Implementation of the SCADA IT system allowing for real-time monitoring of the power plant operating parameters
  • Carrying out works on the internal power supply line
